Cottonwood
bark is sold by the pound and varies in length from
about 12 to 24 and thickness from about 2 to 4.
This is a natural wood so know two pieces are alike.
It is a favourite material among carvers, the bark
is very soft so it is easy to carve. Just make sure
you use stop cuts to reduce tear-out and flake-off.
Cottonwood
bark can be hand or power carved.
